Judy L. Lothery McQuigg, born on October 2, 1941, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2025. Judy loved the Lord. Her faith wasn’t just something she spoke of - it was the way she lived. She trusted God. She trusted him, she leaned on him. Not only in the joy in her life but through every hardship as well and shared his love in quiet powerful ways and lived her life reflecting that love. She had a heart for those in need - right down to giving her own food away if a neighbor was hungry. She never boasted or spoke of it, she just gave quietly out of love.
In her leisure time, Judy found pleasure in crocheting and cherishing moments spent visiting with friends and family. Her ability to connect with loved ones brought joy to everyone around her, reflecting the deep bonds she cultivated over the years.
Judy was a devoted mother to her children, Albert (Nila) Lothery, Timothy (Gina) Lothery, and Angela (Joe) Eve. She had a special bond with Nila, who was not only her daughter-in-law but also her best friend. Her deep familial connections was something she held dearly. She was blessed with grandchildren, Robert (Danielle) Brown, Rocky (Michelle) Brown, Timothy (Cassie) Lothery, Chris (Nikki) Lothery, Andrew (Tessa) Lothery, and Elizabeth Lykins, as well as seven great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and happiness. Judy is also survived by her siblings, George (Pat) Dehn and Ollie (Danny) Brewer.
Judy was welcomed to her Heavenly Home by her daughter, Debra Jean Brown; her brother, John Dehn; and her great-grandson, Jonathan Brown.
May we honor her memory by being more like her. Let us all go forth remembering mom and how she lived through Christ. He will meet us wherever we are in our journey. He is strength when we are weak, He is constant. He is the savior who will lead us through every joy every hardship. Let’s all strive to be more giving, walking with the Lord, trusting in his plan.
