Judy A. Keithley, a beloved artist, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, in Georgetown, Indiana, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on July 31, 1940, in New Albany, Judy lived a life rich in love, creativity, and faith.
A proud graduate of New Albany High School, Judy’s passion for art defined much of her life’s journey. She worked as an artist for many years, sharing her profound love for art by teaching others and inspiring those around her. Her creative spirit was boundless, reflected not only in her art but also in her enjoyment of music. Judy played both the piano and organ, and her beautiful voice was a cherished part of the Greenville Christian Church choir.
Judy was a woman of unwavering faith and integrity. She was a devout member of Northside Christian Church and formerly of Greenville Christian Church, where her kindness and warmth touched countless lives. Never one to meet a stranger, she welcomed everyone with open arms, radiating compassion and honesty. Judy’s warmth extended far beyond the church walls; she cherished her family and friends, placing them at the heart of her world.
Her greatest pride was watching her family grow and thrive—a testament to her nurturing nature. She is survived by her loving children: daughter Karen Davis (Jerry); sons Joe (Penny), Jim (Karen), and Jerry (Ann) Keithley; and daughter-in-law Missi Keithley (Jeff). Her grandchildren Jimmy, Allyssa, Heather, Garrett, Carson, Cooper, Ryan, Skyler, McKenzie, and Conner, as well as her great-grandchildren Faith, Kayden, Gracie, Lilly, Stetson, Hallie, Piper, Evan, and Aspen, and her devoted sister, Vicky Longest carry forward her legacy of love and creativity.
Judy was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Donald David Keithley, her parents Cora Isabelle Banet and Clarence Joseph Banet, and her son Jeff Keithley (Missi). Though they have passed on, their memory lives on in Judy’s heart and the lives of all who knew her.
Her honesty, hard work, and loving nature made her a beacon of light to all who were blessed to know her. Judy’s life was filled with music, art, laughter, and the endless joy of family—an enduring testament to a soul who gave so freely and loved deeply.
As we remember Judy A. Keithley, we celebrate a woman whose life was a beautiful composition of faith, creativity, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy that will forever inspire all who had the privilege to know her. Her spirit lives on through her family, whose lives she illuminated with warmth and tenderness every day.
