Judith Ann Dattilo Atherton
October 20, 1953 — February 20, 2017
Judith Ann Dattilo Atherton, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Norton Inpatient Care Center. She was a retired Nurse from Our Lady of Peace with over 23 years of service. She loved to travel, spending time at the beach and was a die hard UK fan.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Martha Dattilo; and a brother, Anthony Dattilo.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Wolney (Brian), Shannon Gettings (Thomas), Melissa Hubbard (Damon, Erin Linehan and Craig Atherton (Sara Glenn); 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; companion, Jeff Thomas; a sister-in-law, Gail Wiest and a host of other friends and family.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Louisville Southwest Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosparus or the James Graham Brown Cancer Center in Judith's honor.
