Juanita Annette Sneed

Juanita Annette Sneed, affectionately known as Annette, passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on November 3, 1957, she brought joy and warmth to all those who knew her.

Annette dedicated much of her professional life to her work, where she served with commitment. She spent 20 years at Colgate-Palmolive before continuing her career at Hoosier Uplands for 16 years. Her colleagues admired her work ethic and her ability to connect with others in the workplace.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Annette was a passionate wine enthusiast and enjoyed the rhythm of classic rock music. She found joy in the suspense of horror movies, often sharing her favorites with family and friends. Her vibrant interests reflected her personality, full of life and enthusiasm.

Annette leaves behind her beloved daughter, Christine Sneed, and son-in-law, Jared. She is also survived by her cherished grandson, Kendel Xavier Sneed. Annette was deeply connected to her family, and her sisterhood was strengthened by her sisters, Carol Lee (Jimmy), Peggy Decker (Junior), and Cathy Hopper, along with her sister-in-law, Lisa House (Gary), and brother-in-law, Chuck Hedrick (Lora), who shared countless memories with her. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she cherished.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Nicki Sneed; parents, Lonnie Groves and Juanita Bailey Groves; and her brothers, Lonnie A. Groves and David Groves.

Cremation was chosen following Annette's wishes. A Memorial Gathering will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and will continue on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Her Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am on Saturday, at funeral home and she will be laid to rest at Miller Cemetery.
