Juanita O'Neal Sanders

Juanita O'Neal Sanders, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Juanita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Memmaw, sister and friend. She cherished her family and took great pride in caring for them. Juanita had a contagious personality and never met a stranger. She was a true beacon of light for those around her. Juanita will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on November 5, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to Huey and Irene (Long) O'Neal. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Jessie Stivers, Elaine Warren, and Phyllis Mosley.

Juanita is survived by her loving family, husband, Johnny Sanders; daughters, Rochele (Jesse) Hall, Angie Sanders; brothers, Delbert (Connie) O'Neal, Harry O'Neal; grandchildren, Ryan Hall, Zackary Hall; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

A memorial service to honor Juanita's life will be held at a later date.

The family requests that contributions in Juanita’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
