Juanita (Ritchie) Kennedy

Juanita (Ritchie) Kennedy, 89, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Jeffersonville and enjoyed singing with the Silvertoners chorus group.

She was born on March 15, 1928, in Paris, Kentucky, to the late John S. and Leila (Hughes) Ritchie. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Small; son, Larry Southerland; and her 10 siblings.

Juanita is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Randall Kennedy; children, Linda Mitchell, Gerry Southerland, Denny Southerland, and Sandy Henry (Glenn); 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Ellen Campbell.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at West Maple Street Baptist Church (403 West Maple Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130) with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Cremation was chosen following Juanita's wishes.
