Juanita June Barrett
May 3, 1931 — January 27, 2017
Juanita June "Sis" Barrett, 85, passed away on January 27, 2017. She enjoyed making arts and crafts, reading and playing solitaire. Spending time with her family brought her great joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wortha and Zillie Ferguson; son, Mark Anthony Barrett; daughter, Virginia Arlene Woschnik; brothers, Smith David "Bill" Ferguson, Justine Elmo "Mo" Ferguson; sister, Lorena May Jump.
Juanita is survived by her children, Linda Darlene Bingham, Audrey Gail Kern, Rose Marie "Rosie" Barrett, and Ralph Edwin "Eddie" Barrett; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Alice Lavone "Sug" Jarboe, Dimple Louise Jump, Betty Carol Crow and Mary Catherine Garrett; brothers, Gayron Alexander Ferguson and Kenneth Dwight Ferguson, Sr., 42 nieces and nephews and fur baby, Casper. A special thanks for the help and care that Diana "Dee Dee" Brooks and Dale Jump provided Juanita in her hours of need.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017, from 1pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY) A celebration of Juanita's life will be Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 1pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY.
