Joyce Mae Yates

Joyce Mae Yates, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Joyce was an avid reader and loved to cook. She enjoyed watching Kentucky Basketball for many years. Her life was being with family and enjoyed all the family time.

She was born on April 27, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky to Grover and Ruth (Whitherspoon) Whitlow. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Son, Richard Yates, Jr., Husband, James Yates, Sr., Son-In-laws, Patrick Haines, Sr., and James Jones, Brother, L.T. Whitlow, and Sister, Shirley Ciresi.

Joyce is survived by her, Daughters, Teri Jones, and Kim Haines, Grandchildren, Richard Yates, III, Anthony Yates, Jamie Ewing, Daniel Pickens, and Patrick Haines, Jr., Daughter-In-Law, Penny Yates. Joyce also leaves behind 12 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Eastern Star Caregivers, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be family only. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Joyce 's memory be made to Alzheimer's Association .
