Joyce Faye Sergeant

Joyce Faye Sergeant, 75, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughters, Shannon and Jennifer and her husband Don, on March 22, 2024. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter, OES #65 acting as the treasurer, Joyce enjoyed playing Bunco, Bingo, Canasta and going to Derby Dinner Playhouse with her friends. Joyce loved going out to eat and playing the slots with her husband. Joyce had a heart of gold and will forever live in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eslie and Doris Embry; grandson, Cody Eddington; brother, Mike Embry and her nephew, Cody Embry.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 38 years, Don Sergeant; daughters, Shannon (Jamie) Nall-Eddington, Casandra L. Sergeant and Jennifer R. (Tommy) Hendren; grandchildren, Kandance, Amber, Elijah, Cameron, Tyler, Michaela, Brendin, Kaden, Joshua, Ethan and Devon; great-grandchildren, Noelle, Elijah, Jr. and Boston; sister-in-law, Veeda Embry; niece, Michea (Charlie) Dicken; nephew and godson, Jacob (Jamie) Embry; numerous great-nieces and nephews and her four legged boys, Romulus and Remus.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 11am-5pm with a celebration of Joyce's life beginning at 5pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
