Joyce A. Proctor, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on October 13, 2019.
Joyce was born in Louisville on August 1, 1944, to the late Chester and Lillie Elam. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joyce was a very simple woman, but she did love Elvis Presley and playing bingo.
In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Charlotte, Shirley and Sharon.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Larry DeVore (Penny), John DeVore (Kate), Darryl DeVore (Rachelle Rodkey), Tammy Smith; grandchildren, Joshua Proctor (Danielle), Justin Smith, Kylar DeVore; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Aurora Proctor; and a great lifelong friend, Eddie Rose.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
