Joyce Marie Fulkerson

Joyce Marie Fulkerson, 82, passed away on September 8, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on August 29, 1944, in Hardinsburg, Indiana.

Joyce was a graduate of Paoli High School. She worked for Dr. Griffith for many years in the lab making lenses, a role she carried out with steady dedication. She was also a proud member of United Methodist Church in Valeene, Indiana, and her strong faith was an important part of her life.

She found happiness in simple and meaningful pleasures. Joyce was an avid golfer, and she especially loved her home and sitting in her sun room each day. More than anything, her family was her pride and joy. Whether gathering together, taking family trips, or caring for those she loved, these moments were the highlight of her life and reflected the deep devotion she gave to her family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Fulkerson; son, Tod Dewayne; her parents, Emmett Elmer and Helen Gertrude Manship; her brothers, Earl Manship, Teddy Manship, Ralph Manship, and Charles Manship; and her sisters, Margie Sprinkle, Sharon Dolley, and Wanda Thomas.

She is survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana. A graveside service will follow at Louisville Memorial Garden East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40241.

Joyce will be remembered for her faith, her devotion to family, and the quiet joys that filled her days. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
