Joy Ann (Galey) Davis

Joy Ann (Galey) Davis, 77, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021. Joy was a hairdresser for over 30 years and owned and operated Coiffures by Joy in New Albany. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook. Joy was a diehard IU basketball fan and always enjoyed a good murder mystery show on TV.

She was born on December 2, 1943, in Perry County, Indiana, to the late Edward and Clarice (Riat) Galey. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Curt Galey; sister, Ada Burns; and nephew, Jason Galey.

Joy is survived by her son, Scott Davis; daughter, Kimberly (Jim) Brown; sister, Barbara (Tim) Connor; grandchildren, Joseph Brown, Amber (Quinton) Anderson, and Jocelyn Prenatt; and great-grandchildren, Landen Anderson and Kenyan Anderson.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
