Jovanna “JJ” “Jroc” Jackson, 50, of Louisville, KY, passed away on September 12, 2026.

JJ was a loving Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend who touched the lives of everyone around him. At an early age, JJ gave his life to Christ, and his faith remained an important part of who he was. He was known for his strength, his proud spirit, and his ability to keep fighting through life’s challenges. JJ will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

JJ was born in Louisville, KY, to Samuel Jackson and Monika Jackson on June 11, 1976. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1995 and went on to attend Western Kentucky University. His original plan was to play football, but JJ decided to play rugby instead. After a year at Western, he returned to Louisville, where he began working in construction while also working at Ford KTP. He also played for the Louisville Rugby Team.

JJ had a love for motorcycles and fell in love with riding while on the Autobahn in Germany, where there was no speed limit. He later left Ford and continued his career in construction because JJ could not be locked inside a warehouse—he had to be outside, free and moving. JJ had a gift and could build or create anything you wanted.

Another passion of JJ’s was being a member and one of the starters for Redliners Louisvile Chapter (mother chapter based out of Chicago, Illinois) and later one of the founders of Str8 Ryders MC. Wherever JJ went, he brought his personality and his smile with him. When you saw JJ, you couldn’t help but smile, because he walked into a room with one of the biggest smiles you could ever see.

JJ is survived by his children, Alexander Jackson, Bryce Jackson, and Skyler Henry; his father, Samuel Jackson; his sister, Katina Jackson; nephews, Kenton “KJ” Jackson and Kameron Jackson; niece, Kaylani Jackson; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Monika Jackson; and grandparents, Erhard and Elizabeth Kempf and Samuel and Winnie Jackson.

JJ lived life in his own way, with faith, strength, pride, freedom, and a smile that could light up a room. He will forever be loved, remembered, and missed. 🕊️❤️
