Joshua Taylor Nelson, affectionately known as Josh, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 21, 1983, in Lima, Ohio, Josh lived a vibrant and full life that touched the hearts of many.
Josh was the proud owner of Louisville Design & Remodeling Inc., a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville in 2007, laying a strong foundation for his successful career.
Known for his great sense of humor and mischievous nature, Josh brought laughter and cheer wherever he went. He was laid back by nature and always up for a good time. With an adventurous spirit, Josh lived life to its fullest. Loyalty was a hallmark of his character, and he was blessed with many lifelong friendships that stood the test of time. Friends and family could always depend on Josh to help in whatever way was needed.
Josh was a talented athlete, whether playing baseball or enjoying a round of golf, Josh’s love for sports was evident. Outside of work and sports, Josh enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He loved to collect items, had a passion for bartering, and drove a hard bargain. He enjoyed a bit of gambling, always with a spark of good-natured fun. Josh was happiest relaxing by the pool or at the beach, appreciating the calm and beauty of water.
Josh’s family meant the world to him. He is survived by his fiancé, Stephanie Bogard, his lifelong partner, who stood by his side with love and devotion. His parents, Tim and Becky Nelson, provided him with a strong foundation and unwavering support throughout his life. His sister, Kenzie Gleason, along with her husband Ryan, shared many cherished moments with Josh, and he was a proud uncle and “Jungle Josh” to niece and nephew Lola and Eli Gleason. He loved animals, especially his dogs Buddy and Bailey, who stood loyally and happily by his side.
Josh’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His fun personality, quick wit, and the way he lived life unabashedly remind us all to appreciate every moment. He leaves behind a legacy of friendship, love, and the joy of a life well-lived.
