Joshua James Hardy

March 14, 1985 — January 7, 2021

Joshua James Hardy, 35, of Louisville passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021. He was born on March 14, 1985 in Louisville. He is now in the loving arms of his guardian angel and biggest cheerleader, his Grandmother Helen Russell Hardy.

He is remembered by all who knew him as the friend who would carry you to a Drs appt, Wal-Mart, Kroger, the bank, and would share his home with people who needed a place to lay their heads for the night. He shared his leftovers from his PT job at the Eagle and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved video games, movies, and collecting coins and stamps. Some of his happiest times were spent at Lake Cumberland with his family. He loved his dogs, CardiB and Legs, who gave him so much joy and who were reunited with Amanda who will take great care of them. He suffered from addiction and conquered it many times, but God decided he had suffered enough. His heartbroken Mother would like to thank all his friends, and co-workers who helped him out, Chris Thieneman, Angie Green at Fort Bluegrass, and the management and friends at the Eagle. Ez and Tera were among his many good friends, who are too many to name here. A special thanks to Savannah Starkey, who would always take in his pets over the years, so they would have a good home.

He is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Helen Russell Hardy, and his father Jimmy Ceballos.

He leaves behind his daughter, Mackenzie Ann Farr, his mother Denise Hardy Twyman and stepfather Charles Michael Twyman, his grandfather Dennis Hardy, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown (235 Juneau Drive). His funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Louis Cemetery (1167 Barret Avenue). Due to COVID-19 and the risks, the family would like to offer you the option of sharing your messages of sympathy online instead of attending.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a GoFund Account that has been set up to help Josh's daughter, Mackenzie Ann Farr.
