Joshua Paul Atkins

Joshua Paul "Josh" Atkins, 32, passed away on February 17, 2022. He enjoyed working and spending time outdoors. Josh was an employee of Class A Landscaping. Josh had a giving spirit and was always there for others. He loved listening to music, fishing and spending time with his family. When Josh was with his nieces and nephews he always had a sparkle in his eyes. He will be truly missed and will forever live in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin G. Atkins and Susan Wilcoxson; step-grandfather, Lee Wilcoxson and great-grandmother, Dorothy Vincent.

Josh leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Kaleb Edward Atkins; parents, Marty Atkins and Melissa (Pat) Martin; brothers, Jake (Paige) Atkins and Jared Atkins; maternal grandparents, Paul and Vickie Hoover; nieces and nephews, Maddie, Jase, Mila and Jackson; uncles, Kenny (Sherry) Hoover, Mark (Tricia) Hoover and Wayne Higdon; aunt, Vickie Atkins; cousins, Amanda Spangler, Justin Hoover, Tyler Hoover, Marley Hoover, Malana Hoover and Mallory Hoover and best friend, Preston Kleber.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-8pm. A celebration of Josh's life will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022, beginning at 1pm.

Josh will be laid to rest at St. Andrew Cemetery, 7500 Saint Anthony Church Road, Louisville, KY.
