Josephine Fincel, 77, formerly of New Albany died peacefully in the arms of Jesus on Monday, June 29, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Bedford, Indiana.
She was a member of Georgetown Christian Church, retired from Silver Crest, She attended Austin Schools and enjoyed dancing, traveling and spending time with her family.
She was born on July 11, 1937 to the late Verne and Henry McIntosh. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one sister, Ilean Hawkins. She is survived by one brother, Ivan McIntosh who resides in Lebanon, Ohio.
She was a loving mother to her five children, three daughters; Anna Fincel-Lambert (Danny Irwin, Sr. of Bedford, IN, Carol Schipinski (Jerry Grothendick) of Montpelier, VA, Sue Ellen Trejo (Isaiah) of Georgetown, IN, two sons; Ronnie Davidson (Dee Dee) of Charlestown, IN, and Dwayne Davidson of Louisville, KY.
She was a loving grandmother to four granddaughters; Tara, Lacy, Jazmin and Laurel, four grandsons; Seth, Cameron, Jonah, and Noah, five great granddaughters and one great grandson. She was also survived by a wonderful friend to many and a loving companion of seventeen years, Steve Fatovic of New Albany, IN.
The family will gather for a private viewing prior to cremation at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). Her ashes will be at peace in the same cemetery plot as her earthly father at Scottsburg Cemetery.
