Joseph W. Keener, 77, of Louisville, died at Hosparus on May 27, 2015. His final days were surrounded by family who loved him. He was born January 25, 1938 in Sunbury, PA. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Chun Keener; his only son, Joseph Jr. and his fiancé, Darlene; brother, Frederick (Bob) Radel; sister, Sandra Goldsmith; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his only daughter, Sonia A. Mudd.
He was a United States Army Veteran of 20 years, who served during the Vietnam War twice, and a member of the America Legion, DAV, and VFW. Special thanks to Hosparus & Norton Health Care for their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Norton Cancer Institute, Dept. 86148, P.O. Box 950184, Louisville, KY 40295.
Visitation from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, June 1, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel. Graveside service 10:00 am Tuesday, June 2 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central in Radcliff, KY.
