Joseph Raymond Haag, 71, passed away on March 29, 2016. He was a graduate of duPont Manual High School and Kentucky Southern College receiving his bachelor's degree in Arts. Joseph was a member of St. Andrew United Church of Christ and a retiree of Louisville Metro after 25 years of service. He was an avid sports fan and always enjoyed family gatherings. Joseph had a kind heart and was always there for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cleora Haag and infant, brother, Joseph H. Haag, Jr.
Joseph is survived by his twin sister, Marilyn Gasaway; brother, Donald Haag; nieces and nephews, Denise Webb, Donnie Haag, Ronald Coffey, Jr., Tammy Coffey and Jason "Michael" Gasaway; nine great-nieces and nephews and many life long friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 4pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Joseph's life will be Friday, April 1, 2016, beginning at 1pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery
In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Marilyn Gasaway for the funeral expenses of her brother, Joseph.
