Joseph Groman Pierce, Sr.

Joseph Groman "Joe" Pierce, Sr, 75, of Louisville, KY passed away on January 10, 2018. He was a life long and devoted catholic and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Brown & Williamson. He enjoyed sharing the beauty of his flowers with everyone.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Pierce; granddaughter, Rebecca Pierce; parents, Martin and Roberta Higdon Pierce and siblings, Edwina Stone, Harry (Winnie) Pierce, Aline Morrison (Freeman) Bryant, Linda (James) Durbin and Leroy (Barbara) Pierce.

Joe is survived by his wife, Linda Freeman Pierce, sons, Jody (Penny) Pierce and James Pierce; grandchildren, Andi (John) Harris and Tyler Pierce; brother, Murrell (Brenda) Pierce and sister, Christina Sims.

Visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 3pm-6:30pm with a celebration of Joe's life beginning at 6:30pm at the chapel of the funeral home.
