Joseph Melvin Mccord Ii

Joseph Melvin McCord, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 20, 1946 to the late Melvin and Lois Jane McCord. He was a veteran in the United States Army and was retired from National Elevator Industry, Local 20.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Lynn; and a uncle, John McCord, Jr.
Joseph is survived by his beloved sister, Sherry Lee (Ronald) Taylor; a niece, Amy Taylor; great-nieces, Kaylee and Layla Higgins; a aunt, Cheryl (Kenneth) Ryan; other dear family members, Kenneth Ryan, Jr., Shannon Nottingham, David Ryan, Karen Hedgecock and Tracy Hall; and a host of other family members and friends.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be conducted on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethany Memorial Cemetery,10917 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272.
