Joseph "Buddy" Mabrey, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020. He was born on March 11, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Willard Mabrey and Eula Clerici. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and golfing, but nothing gave him more joy in life than being with his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 50 years, Sherry Mabrey; his children, Becki (Frank) Sellinger, Terri (James) Byrd, Lesli (Marco) Valdez, and Anthony Mabrey; 11 grandchildren, Meagan, Micah, Mitchel, Morgan, Kelli, Isaac, Joey, Destiny, Elijah, Ian and Erwin; siblings, Diana Richardson, Pam Allen and Wayne (Angela) Mabrey; and a host of extended family members who all loved him dearly.
Private services will be held for immediate family members only at this time with burial to take place in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at a later time for extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family to help offset final expenses.
