After a life filled with joy, fun and seasons in the sun, Joseph Keith Wedding, 59, entered into eternal life on Monday, March 4, 2019 at his home in Louisville, KY.
He was born in Louisville, KY on February 4, 1960, the son of Shirley Ann Woodward Wedding and Donald Keith Wedding, Sr. During his dance hall days, he was a 1978 graduate of Iroquois High School and a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee. He earned his MBA from Bellarmine University and a culinary degree from Sullivan University.
Keith was a proud employee of the American Red Cross for 20 years. During his service, he most enjoyed his time getting to know those who came out to donate at his blood drives because to Keith, people are people.
His life was made better by the love he found in his wife, Valerie Wedding, son, Aiden Wedding, and mother, Shirley Wedding.
Not his sole survivors - others include his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Sue Downs of Louisville, Ky. His brother-in-law-and sister-in-law, Terry and Carol Ann Branson of Jeffersonville, his nephew, Bay Whitfield , his niece, Addie Branson, and step niece and nephew, Cara Branson (Cody), Ryan Branson (Melissa), great nephew, Connor Branson, uncle, Larry Wedding, cousin, Julie Wedding. His father, Donald Keith Wedding, Sr., Carol Ann Wedding (Jeff Guy - Living together, not married), Donald Keith Wedding, Jr. (Kathryn M. Barnes, wife, Donald Keith Wedding, III, Emily Michelle Wedding, Katelyn Christine Wedding, David Michael Wedding, Victoria Wedding Kurtz (Michael Kurtz, husband), Andrew Arthur Kurtz, Katherine Louise Kurtz, Jonathan Michael Kurtz, Daniel Keith Wedding (Trish Shock, wife), Daniel Keith Wedding, II, Carol Ann Estelle Wedding. We are family, but he had a loyal group of lifelong friends who meant so much to him, and his Saturday morning watch club was a highlight of his week.
Come celebrate the man of the hour with a visitation on Friday March 8th from 11 am - 4 pm with a funeral ceremony at 4 pm at Resurrection Episcopal Church, 4100 Southern Parkway in Louisville. After all, he was simply the best.
