Joseph Edward Abel III, 56, of Crestwood, KY passed away August 5, 2014. Joe was a member of the Eagles Club in Jeffersontown. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and UofL Cardinal football and basketball.
Joe was born March 22, 1958, in Louisville to the late Joseph and Joyce (Gothard) Abel.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Abel and Shawn Abel; sister, Debbie Smith (Perry); one grandson, Paxton Abel; and many loving extended family and friends.
Memorial services for Joe will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). The family will greet friends from 12pm until time of service at the funeral home.
