Joseph Daniel "Joe" Cormney, 67, passed away on December 28, 2018. He enjoyed going to NASCAR races and watching them on TV. Joe was an avid sports fan with UK being his favorite team and he loved his dog, Jo-Jo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Genevieve Cormney and sister, Edith Kiser.
Joe is survived by his fiance Rosie O'Brien; children, Shannon Churchill, Joe Cormney, Jr., Jake Cormney and Shelly Cormney; step-daughter, Lisa Anspach; grandchildren, Erica Churchill, Kensley Cormney, and Emma Cormney; step-granchildren, Parker Gore, Jocelyn Gore, Branden Anspach, Travis Anspach and Nancy Rose Anspach; step great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Anspach and Vivian Anspach; siblings,, John Welch, Sr., Sharon Comstock and Cecil Redman.
Visitation will be at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, Friday, January 4, 2019 from 10am-6pm with a celebration of Joe's life beginning at 6pm.
