Joseph Emmett Combs

Joseph Emmett Combs, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 18, 1946 to the late Poggon and Mary Rita Combs. He believed in Christ and prayed daily. Joe was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and bonfires. He also enjoyed home cooked meals as well as perfecting his own recipes.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Emmett Combs, Jr.; siblings, James Stanley Combs, Mary Eve Morgan and James Allen Combs.

Joseph is survived by his children, Tommy (Ginger) Combs, Steve Combs and Kevin Combs; a sister, Mary (Duane) Ireland; two brothers, Charles (Phyllis) Combs and William Lee Combs; numerous grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. Visitation will be from 1-7 on Sunday at the funeral home.
