Joseph Lee Brown, Sr.

Joseph Lee Brown, Sr., 85, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Joe was a proud veteran of the United States Navy where he served 20 years before retiring. He then went on to receive an Associate's Degree from Indiana University-Southeast. Joe worked for over 15 years at PSI as a technician until his retirement. He was a Deacon at Potter House Christian Fellowship Church, and he loved to sing.

Joe is survived by his children, Brian, Joseph, Jr., Ernestine, Dawn, Solomon, Glenda, Chester III, Rhonda, Rochelle, and Darius; sisters, Grace, Florence, and Lilly; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ernestine; second wife, Pattie; parents, William Brown, Sr., and Lilly Brown; son, Warren; brothers, William, Johnny, and Frank; and sisters, Thelma and Elnora.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany), and a Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Joe will be laid to rest at the New Albany National Cemetery. Cremation was chosen following Joe's wishes.
