Joseph "Ed" Bridges

Joseph "Ed" Bridges, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on December 25, 1929 to the late Billy and Rosie Wood-Bridges.

Ed was retired after 30 years from the Ford Motor Company where he never missed a day or never was late for work. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by 4 siblings Homer Bridges, Buddy Bridges, Lethel Bridges and Louise Neagle.

Joseph is survived by his beloved Wife of 66 years, Anna R. Emerson-Bridges; one son, Billy Joe (Debbie) Bridges; three brothers, Curtis (Arlene) Bridges, Frankie (Sharon) Bridges and Harold (Peggy) Bridges; and a host of other family members and friends all of whom will cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held to celebrate his life on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11:30 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky.
