Jose Juson Santos, 90, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Bennett Place. He was a United States Army WWII veteran and a retired accounting manager with AAFES. Jose was also a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany.
He was born on April 1, 1925 in Manila, Philippines to the late Carlos and Emilia (Joson) Santos. Jose was also preceded in death by his siblings, Manual, Ricardo, Nydia, and Nelia Santos.
Jose is survived by his wife of 55 years, Masako (Nakao) Santos; children, John Santos (Carla), Angelo Santos, Alex Santos (Sarah), Phil Santos (fiancé, Piper); brother, Abel Santos; sister, Norma Santos; grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Tyler, Kathryn, Elizabeth, and Emma Santos.
Visitation will be held from 3 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Friday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Contributions in Jose's memory may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
