Johnny L. Herald

Johnny L. Herald, age 64 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2026.  He was born on March 8, 1962 to the late John and Ruby Herald.  Johnny was a man that loved the simple pleasures in life.  He was an avid outdoor camper, loved to tell stories and especially loved eating at Texas Roadhouse (rolls) with his family.  At the same time he was adventurous and looked for ways to enjoy time with his family.

Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie; and his son, Ronnie.

Johnny is survived by his loving children, Johnny, Jr., Anthony (Jamie), Misty, and Steve; 8 grandchildren, Wayne, Shane, Abigale, Brandy, Christian, Hailey, Jonathan and Oaklyn; also several great-grandchildren, siblings and a host of relatives and friends.  

Visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.  A celebration of Johnny's life will follow there at 4pm.
