Johnny Golden Brown, a cherished member of the Louisville community, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 13, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, Johnny was a dedicated husband and father, known for his unwavering commitment to providing for his family through hard work and perseverance.

A proud graduate of Male High School, Class of 1966, Johnny took great pride in his education, which laid the foundation for a life characterized by diligence and responsibility. Throughout his career, he exemplified the spirit of a jack of all trades, always ready to lend a hand or offer solutions. Friends and family fondly remember him as someone who could fix just about anything and possessed an innate ability to tackle challenges with a calm demeanor.

Johnny's personality reflected his deep commitment to his loved ones. A man of few words, he was a constant listener, always attentive to the needs and feelings of those around him. His gentle nature and quiet strength were the cornerstones of his family life, where he found his proudest accomplishments in the love and support he provided to his family, as well as in building a home that served as a sanctuary for all.

In addition to his dedication to family, Johnny had a variety of hobbies and interests that enriched his life. He enjoyed listening to Jazz music, which often filled his home with rhythm and joy. Fishing was not just a pastime for him, but a way to connect with nature and find peace. His passion for photography allowed him to capture moments and create memories that his family will cherish forever.

Johnny is survived by his loving family, who will always remember him for his strength, kindness, and the invaluable lessons he imparted. His presence in their lives will be missed profoundly, but his legacy will continue through the values he instilled in them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reed and Hattie Terrell; sisters, Clarice Hollins and Elenora Terrell and his brothers, Louis Terrell, Reed Terrell, Jr. and Marcus Terrell.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline Brown; children, Alona E. (Idris) Bennett and Kevin (Coletta) Brown; grandchildren, Chelsea Brown and Kendall Brown; siblings, Linda Lorick and Lela (Sidney) Walker; 3 special aunts, Minnie Vance, Frances Taylor and Betty Jean Burris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on October 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12pm at the Glory and Fire Worship Center, located at 8804 National Turnpike, Louisville, KY 40118.

As we bid farewell to Johnny Golden Brown, we honor a life well-lived, marked by love, resilience, and an enduring spirit that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
