John Whalin Klein, 76, passed away from Alzheimer's on Thursday, June 4th, 2015. John was a native of Louisville, KY. He was born on October 8, 1938, to the late Earl & Lorraine Klein.
He was an Army Veteran and retired from the AFL-CIO in 1998, after many years of service. John will be greatly missed and warmly remembered for his love of life, family, golf, music, dancing, woodworking and his wonderful sense of humor.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers; Larry Klein, Roger Klein, and his beloved daughter Catherine Profumo.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years and caregiver, Maria Klein, daughter Cindy Klein, and step-daughters Nina Lococo (Daniel) and Angela Pepplar (Mike), his grandchildren Heather Littrell, Haley Wagoner (John), Xavier & Alex Robinson, and Adriana Lococo; and his great-grandchildren, Vera and Tristan. His siblings, Marilyn Dayoc, Karen Halfling (Eddie), Ronnie Klein( Nudia) and Denise Goodson (Bill)
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 1:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243. Phone: (502)245-0095.
