John Adam "Junnie" Wallington

John Adam "Junnie" Wallington, born on November 19, 1949, departed this life on November 26, 2024. He was 75 years old at the time of passing. John was a remarkable individual whose warm personality and unwavering dedication left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing.

A hard worker by nature, John embraced his responsibilities with a sense of pride and commitment that was evident in all his endeavors. His industrious spirit was matched only by his sociable nature; he had a unique ability to connect with others, forging friendships and building a supportive community wherever he went. John's charisma and kindness made him a beloved figure among family, friends, and acquaintances alike.

Music filled John’s life with joy and passion. He found comfort and inspiration in the melodies that resonated with him, sharing this love with those around him. His appreciation for music enriched his own life and the lives of those he interacted with, bringing people together in harmony.

One of his proudest accomplishments was his dedication to his faith and community through his love of going to church. This commitment provided him with both solace and a sense of belonging, allowing him to contribute positively to the lives of others in his community.

John Adam Wallington will be remembered for his strong work ethic, social warmth, and a love for music that resonated well beyond his years. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and community spirit that will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Irvin; sisters, Cathy Irvin and Sandra Irvin; brother, Edward "Eddie: Irvin and his step-father, James William Irvin.

John leaves to cherish his memories, his brothers, George W. Irvin and James T. Irvin and his soul brother, Jesse Kennedy.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of John's life beginning at 1pm.
