John V. Heath

December 13, 1949 — January 19, 2015

John V. Heath, II, 65, passed away on January, 19, 2015. He was an established song writer, publisher and singer and one of his songs was in the movie Copper Mountain (Canada). His interests included, horse racing and tending to his peddlers malls. He was a longtime dedicated Mason. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother that will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John V. and Florine Heath, Sr.; daughter, Jennifer M. Hagan; son-in-law, Leon Wallace; grand-daughter, Jessica Bouvier and brother, Gordon Heath.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Mae Heath; son, John V. (Dawn) Heath, III; daughters, Mellissa S. Wallace, Victoria L. (Tony) Kingrey, Teresa A. (Jimmy) Bouvier, Veronica (Jeff) Shireman; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Miller, Carolyn Whitsett, Barbara Reece and Brenda Bruck; brother, Melvin Heath; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 10am-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of life for John will be Monday, January 26, 2015, at 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
