John Henry Spalding Sr.

John Henry Spalding Sr., 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021. John worked for and retired from General Motors. He attended St. Stephen's Church. John loved fixing things and rebuilding cars. He was a jovial individual who loved laughing, telling jokes, and was the life of the party. John was a one of kind person, and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on October 10, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Susie (Warren) Spalding. He is preceded in death by his Son, Trent Spalding, Parents, Siblings, James Spalding, Jr., Elizabeth Spalding-Mattingly, George Spalding, and Fredrick Spalding,

John is survived by his Son, John (Janelle) Spalding, Jr., Sister, Barbara Spalding-Dooley, Step-Daughter, Trish (Ronnie) Shivers, Step-Son, James (Stacey) Looney, Step-Son, Reginald Looney, Step-Daughter, Regina (Ronnie) Merritt, Step-Daughter, Angela Crenshaw, Step-Daughter, Terrie Looney, and Step-Son, Troy Goodloe. John also leaves behind to cherish his memory 20 Grandchildren, and a host of Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
