John Charles Schindler, 87, of, New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served during the Korean War. He retired from IBM as an engineer as well as from the New Albany-Floyd Co. School Corporation as a bus driver.
He was born on April 3, 1932 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Clyde and Martha (Plank) Schindler. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Hermaline Yvonne Schindler; children, Kris Schindler and Denise Mangum; and brother, Norbert Schindler.
John is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Schindler; grandchildren, David Begg, Brandon Begg, Alexandra Begg, Victoria Begg, and Hannah Mangum; and several nieces and nephews.
