John William Rodgers, III, 67, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024. 

He was born on September 6, 1956 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to John and Ruth Rodgers. John was a 1974 graduate of PRP High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. John retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville. 

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, John William Rodgers, Jr. and Ruth Rodgers; first wife, Wanda Rodgers; and fur babies, Aussie, Juno and Annabelle.

John is survived by his broken hearted Wife, Shari Christoff; son, John William Rodgers, IV; sister, Janet Rodgers; brother, Michael Rodgers (Stanna); niece, Tara Pemberton.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). A service to celebrate John's life will follow that day at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. 

The family requests that contributions in John’s memory be made to the Kentucky Humane Society .
