John Benjamin Renn, 59, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. John was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Lanesville and was a driver for XPO Logistics for over 10 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed working with his hands and cheering for the Indianapolis Colts.
He was born on June 16, 1962, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Josephine (Theiler) and Gerard C. Renn, Sr.
John is survived by his loving siblings, Gerard C. Renn, Jr., Kathleen (Robert) Hunter, Lora (William) Votaw, Victoria Renn, Michael (Leah) Renn, and Daniel Renn; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021, at St. Mary Catholic Church of Lanesville with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in John's memory be made to St. Mary Catholic Church of Lanesville (2500 St. Mary Drive NE, Lanesville, IN 47136).
