John Anthony Phillips

John "Tony" Anthony Phillips, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Tony was an avid University of Kentucky fan. He loved watching College Basketball, Football, Horse Racing, and the Reds. Tony retired after 27 years with the State of Kentucky. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and the quiet times he had. He was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, and loved spending time with his Grandchildren. He will be remembered for his constant "Dad Jokes", cups of coffee, and his love for animals. Tony will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was born on January 20, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Mary (Peak) Phillips. He is preceded in death by his Parents; Siblings, William "Junior" Phillips, Martha Goodman, and Charlie Phillips.

Tony is survived by his loving Wife of 24 years, Lisa Phillips; Daughters, Angela Phillips, Rachel (Dylan) Buccieri, Candy Riggs, and Crystal Riggs, and Son, Anthony Riggs; Grandchildren, Trevon Warren, Taleb Warren, Caroline Buccieri, Zachary Buccieri, Adrianna Riggs, Serenity Betts, Cade Betts, Shyanna Garrett, Breanna Ponder, and Shelly Riggs; Siblings, Mary Haysley, Jim (Clare) Phillips, Anna Howle, and Tom Phillips. Tony also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and his beloved dog "Elizabeth".

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel.
