John Anthony Morrison

February 14, 1948 — May 23, 2021

John Anthony Morrison, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021. John proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He helped with the M.I.A. Program and bringing Soldiers home. John was a caring and giving person and was always helping those in need and contributing to many charities over the years. In his earlier years, John participated in rodeo bull riding and stock car racing. John enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and restoring old cars. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and especially his many grandchildren. John will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

He was born on February 14, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan to Benjamin and Grace (Jennings) Morrison. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Life Time Companion, Marsha Morrison, and Grandson, Mitchell Ramirez.

John is survived by his Son, Khris (Marnie) Morrison, Daughters, Chandra Estrada, Kimberly Segura, Karen (Ira) Spoores, and Bridgette (Juan) Bautista, Brothers, Stephen (Susan) Morrison, David Morrison, Sisters, Mary Ann (Carl) Peterson, and Judy Swindler, Life Long Friend, Frankie Quarles. John also leaves behind to cherish his memory; a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

A Celebration of John's Life with Military Honors will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Iva Pentecostal Holiness Church (201 Anterville Hwy, Iva, SC 29655) in Iva, South Carolina.
