Born on July 15, 1937, in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, John's life was marked by an unwavering dedication to teaching and an enduring love for his family and the natural world.
John’s career as a teacher and coach at Kentucky Country Day and Floyd Central highlighted a profound commitment to education and mentorship. Known for his happy and caring spirit, he consistently put others before himself, always eager to share knowledge and inspire those around him. His approach to teaching was not merely academic but deeply personal—he sought to help his students learn not only from textbooks but from life itself.
