John D. Lotz Jr., 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
He was born on December 19, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Nettie Lotz. John was retired from the Louisville Water Company, where he never missed a day. He loved classic cars and working on them. He loved using his hands and could build anything. John was known in the neighborhood to walk and ride his bike 4 to 6 times a day. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed anything. He will be loved and missed by his family and neighbors.
He is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, George Fredrick "Freddy" Fettle, Jr.; step-grandsons, Richard Morgan and Fredrick Dawson; sisters, Patsy and Becky; and brother, Jerry Lotz.
John is survived by his step-children, Carla Morgan, Jeff Dawson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Ebbe Lotz; and numerous nieces and nephews who will affectionately remember him as "Uncle Johnny".
Due to current restrictions, services will be private. John will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
The family requests that contributions in John's memory be made to The American Heart Association.
