John William Korte, Jr.

John William Korte, Jr., 52, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. John loved nature and doing anything outside. He also really enjoyed music, especially classic rock. He was a member of Northside Christian Church and worked at the New Albany Target for over 20 years.

He was born on October 11, 1965, in Floyd County, Indiana. John is preceded in death by his father, John W. Korte, Sr.; and his niece, April Meredith.

John is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Randa (Brown) Korte; daughters, Alyssa Korte and Emily Ruedinger (Joshua); mother, Ethel Lynch (Marvin); sister, Mary Burns (Tim); and grandchildren, Oliver and Dahlia.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Charlestown, Indiana.
