John Thomas Jackson Sr.

John Thomas "Tommy" Jackson Sr., 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020. Tommy was a member and worked as a Diesel Mechanic with the Teamsters. He was member of Louisville Baptist Temple Church. Tommy enjoyed working on cars, and going to car shows.

He was born on May 8, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Mary (Craven) Jackson. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Daughter, Pamela Morrison, Grandson, Mark Jackson, Jr., Siblings, JoAnn Steiner, Buddy Jackson, Charlie Jackson, Betty Mae Minks, and Helen Harlow.

John is survived by his loving Wife of 62 years, Barbara Jackson, Sons, Tommy (Darlene) Jackson, Jr., and Mark (Barbara) Jackson, Daughter, Shelia (Danny) Crane, Son-In-Law, Randy Morrison. Tommy also leaves behind to cherish his memory 12 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway). His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Newcomer Funeral Home with Burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Due to the recent COVID 19 restrictions, attendance will be by family invite only.
