John Forrest "Johnny" Jackson, 58, of Bardstown, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018.
Johnny worked for Caldwell Tanks in Louisville, KY. He went on to operate his own Construction business. He was an avid sports fan and loved the U of L Cardinals. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing games and most of all spending time with his family.
He was born on December 28, 1960 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to William Jackson and Idabell Griffin. He is preceded in death by his father, William K. Jackson; brother, James K. Jackson; step-father, Gene D. Griffin.
Johnny is survived by his mother, Idabell Griffin; siblings, Ellen Ray, Daniel D. Jackson (Cindy), Tina M. Lovelace (Keith); nieces and nephews, Michelle Ray, Daniel Jackson, Melissa Jackson, James Jackson, Austin Chitwood, Zachary Smith (Ashley), Danielle Bishop (Daniel), Tyler Smith, Taylor Smith, Alex Jackson, Cameron Smith and Gabby Smith.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). A service to honor the life of Johnny will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park.
The family requests that contributions in Johnny's memory be made to National Foundation for Cancer Research (5515 Security Lane, Suite 1105, Rockville, MD 20852)
