John "Jack" E. Fryrear, Jr. 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Jack was a car enthusiast and enjoyed watching car racing. He was a foodie and enjoyed going out to eat. Jack loved his sons, and was lovingly known as Grandpa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved gambling, especially on the slot machines. Jack will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was born on November 18, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Dorothy Fryrear. He is preceded in death by his father, John Earl Fryrear, Sr.; mother, Dorothy Fryrear; wife, Janice Fryrear; and a host of siblings.
Jack is survived by his loving sons, Mark Fryrear, Brian (Sylvia) Fryrear, James (Christi) Fryrear, Scott (Melissa) Fryrear, Kevin (Kristin) Fryrear; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Terry (Brenda) Fryrear; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
