John Richard Hohn, 60, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He could be described as a practical joker that possessed a good sense of humor. John was also a handyman, always willing to put others before himself.
He was born on February 13, 1957, in New Albany to the late John R. and Hester (Kinser) Hohn. John was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Hohn.
John is survived by his sisters, Lillian Whitsit (Don), Linda Flock (David), Patricia Fitzsimons (Christopher), Deborah Gordon (Bill), and Teresa Koch; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Hohn, Dillon Brown, Bradley Brown, Jazmine Koch, and Miranda Koch; along with many other nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen following John's wishes, and Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. The family requests that contributions in John's memory be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
