John Gordon Riley

John Gordon Riley, 79, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2015. He was a 20 year employee at General Electric and a retired self-employed truck driver. John served in the United States Air Force Reserves and was a member of the VFW Post #3281 as well as the 40 & 8 Club. He was also a member of Culbertson Baptist Church.
He was born on October 1, 1936 in New Albany, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Martha (Amy) Riley; and his wife, Mary Beth Riley. John is survived by his daughters, Cathy Williams (Terry, Sr.), Cindy Freiberger (Larry); step-children, Ronda Dickerson, Annette Hawkins, Hope Densford, Trent Wyzard; grandchildren, Terry Jr., Rusty, Dawn, Wendy, Dustin; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be private with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Contributions in John's memory may be made to Hosparus – the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
