John Frederick Shaughnessy

John Frederick Shaughnessy, 55, passed away on August 11, 2016. He was dedicated to his work in the construction and electrical industry for over 30 years . He was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan and enjoyed listening to and collecting classic rock music. John was known as the great grill master and he loved his fur babies, Layla, Brandy, Sookie and Gemma. He also enjoyed, bowling, playing pool, golf and target shooting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marilyn Shaughnessy and sister, Sue.

John is survived by his wife, Diana Shaughnessy; step-children, Megan, Josh and Matt Staples; brothers, Steve (Jeanette) Shaughnessy, Kevin Shaughnessy and Patrick Shaughnessy; nephews, Stephen Shaughnessy, Christopher Shaughnessy and Eddie Hauber; niece, Trisha Gwinn and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016, from 2pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway).
