John R. Evans Sr., a beloved husband, son, father, friend, passed away on November 26, 2024, at his home in New Albany, Indiana, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on October 1, 1970, in New Albany. John dedicated much of his life to the craft of mechanics, with a passion for cars that resonated deeply within him. His enthusiasm for automobiles was matched only by his joy in sharing that passion with others.

John's personality was marked by a delightful goofiness, which brought laughter and joy to all who knew him. He had a special talent for lighthearted shenanigans, and aggravating his children was a cherished part of his daily routine. His home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of love that only a devoted father and husband could provide.

One of John's proudest accomplishments was his ability to work on cars, but he also took immense pride in his relationships with his family and friends. He found joy in spending time with loved ones, often enjoying a drink and good conversation. Riding his motorcycle and shooting guns were among his favorite pastimes, further highlighting a life well-lived and full of adventure.

John leaves behind his devoted wife, Amanda Evans; his mother, Sandra (Milard Evans) Nail; his sons, Johnny (Brooklyn) Evans, Jesse (Brittany) Evans, Dominick Lynch, Jason Nichols, and Thomas Taylor; his daughters, Dannielle (Daniel) Fitzgerald, Megan Nichols, and Ashley Eisman; as well as 15 grandchildren and 1 fur granddog. He is also survived by brothers, Timmy (Amy) Evans and Kenny (Jenn) Bright; sister, Rene Dixon; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will remember him fondly.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Bright, and his maternal grandparents, John and Wilma Nail. John R. Evans will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him, and his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of his beloved family.

It was John's wishes to be cremated with no services.
